Live Music - September Chardonnay

September Chardonnay - is a multi-instrumental acoustic duo consisting of Julia Hedge (lead vocals, violin, bouzouki, percussion, guitar) and Tina Hebner (supporting vocals, ukulele, guitar, bass, mandolin).

The duo has been together since 2022, performing throughout the Kamloops area. Julia and Tina both grew up with music surrounding them; this echoes through their musical choices and sense of sonic adventure as they craft their tunes. They are known for playing Celtic and traditional tunes blended with the works of Bob Dylan and songs of the 50s and 60s, reworking jazz standards into edgy acoustic punk, and classical guitar pieces presented with violin improv soaring throughout.

Referring to their style as an elevated acoustic blend (a delicious flavour of folk with distinct overtones of jazz and rock), they are regularly featured in downtown Kamloops performance programs (Vibe on Victoria, SpringFest, Christmas at the Courthouse, and more), performed in the Hydra Festival, and are regulars at the Heffley Hall Coffeehouse series.
