This was the first ever Riesling produced from our very young vineyards. It has been ageing in our caves for nearly 6 years and only recently released. The aromas are intense and still quite youthful, showing tropical characters and notes of red apple skin, balanced with a delicate nuttiness of almond skin and earthy notes of slate and some minerality. For its age, the petrol note is quite delicate. A serious wine, the palate begins with some viscosity and weight but still carries a bright acidity, finishing with subtle spicy notes of coriander and cumin; this is a delicious food wine.
This wine requires no further cellaring and is to be enjoyed now.
